We commit to providing safe and supportive environments which nurture the wellbeing of all students and staff in our community, and hold firmly to the belief that they have a right to be safe, respected and valued in an inclusive environment. We know that when students are happy, they are more engaged with their learning.

Schools benefit from wellbeing initiatives and pastoral care support through Sydney Catholic Schools – in areas such as anti-bullying, positive behaviour, student counselling, refugee support and child protection – which range from universal support for all students, to targeted interventions for students with complex social and emotional needs.

St Margaret Mary Catholic Primary School Randwick North highly regards the building of confidence, resilience and positivity in our students. Our student wellbeing policy is based on the principles of restorative justice and procedural fairness. This policy reflects the vision and mission of the Catholic Church and is characterised by safety, trust and mutual respect. To live this policy the school has adopted various programs aimed at helping students to value themselves and experience wellbeing. These programs include Buddies, Peer Support, Bounceback and Student Awards.

We offer a skilled school counsellor to provide social skill initiatives and use the schoolwide strengths based for learning approach to ensure that our students are safe respectful learners.
